Important Safeguards
When using this electrical appliance,
the following basic safety precautions
should always be followed:
• Please read these instructions before
operating and retain these for future
reference.
• Before connecting the kettle to the power
supply, check that the voltage indicated on
the appliance corresponds with the voltage
in your home. If this is not the case, contact
your local qualified technician and DO NOT
use the kettle.
• Use this kettle with the supplied base only.
• If the supply cord or any part is damaged,
cease use of this appliance immediately to
avoid a hazard.
• Do not hang the power cord over the edge
of table or allow the cord or the user to touch
the external part of the enclosure after or
during operation.
• Place the appliance on the flat surface. Do
not place on the heated surface or near a
hot gas or electric burner or oven.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with appliance.
• To protect against electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug, power base and
kettle in water or other liquid.
• After boiling, please avoid touching the
steam coming from the spout and hot water.
Also, do not open the lid without allowing the
appliance and water to cool.
• Take care when pouring hot water.
• Unplug it from the power outlet when not in
use.
• This product is for boiling water only. Do not
attempt to heat any other liquids.
• Only use the handle when handling this
appliance.
• This appliance has been manufactured for
the purpose of indoor, household use only.
Do not use in a commercial or industrial
environment.
• Take care when handling or moving this
appliance when water is still in the container.
• The use of any accessories or attachments
that are not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock,
personal injury or damage to this appliance
or the customer’s property.
• Do not place this appliance on a metal
surface whilst in use.
• Please do not boil when the water amount is
less than 0.5 Liter, this will result in damage to
the appliance.
• Do not overfill. The water level must not
exceed the maximum water level mark (1.7
Liter). If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water
may be ejected.
• Prior to operating this appliance, please
ensure that the lid is properly closed.
• Press down the On/Off switch gently when
you are ready to operate the appliance.
• Do not remove the lid while the water is
boiling.
• When cleaning, allow the appliance to cool
first then wipe with a slightly damp cloth.
• This appliance is intended to be used in
household and similar applications such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
- Farm houses;
- By clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
- Bed and breakfast type environments.
