3.5. Electrical connection 

 

When it comes to connecting you

r

 appliance, please follow the instructions below carefully: 

WARNING: This appliance must be earthed.  

-

This appliance connects to a 240 volts, 50 Hz AC supply.

-

It must be connected to this supply via a 3-pin socket.

-

The plug must be suitably earthed and protected by a 3 amp fuse in the plug

.

-

The appliance is supplied with a 13-amp 3-pin mains plug that has a 3 amp

 f

use

-

If you need to replace the fuse, you must replace it with a fuse rated at 3 amp and

approved to Bs1362

-

The plug contains a removable fuse cover that must be refitted when the fuse is replaced

-

If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until you get a

replacement.

-

If the plug is not suitable for the socket in your home, then the fuse should be removed

and the plug disposed of safely to prevent an electric shock.

IMPORTANT: How to wire a 13 amp plug

The wire colours may not always correspond 
with the markings on the terminals in your 
plug, so these steps must be followed:

-

Connect the green and yellow wire

to the terminal in the plug which is either:

I.

Marked with the letter E

II.

Marked with an Earth symbol

III. Coloured green and yellow

-

Connect the blue wire to the terminal in the plug which is marked N

-

Connect the brown wire to the terminal marked L

As the colours may not correspond with the markings 
identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as follows. 
The green and yellow wire must be connected to the 
terminal in the plug, which is marked with the letter E, or 
with the earth symbol or coloured green and yellow. The 
blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N. 
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal 
marked L.
