Where to place the switch:
The enclosure of the Switch is designed for desktop or under-the-desk, or VESA
mount configurations. The optional Mount Kits PN F1DN-MOD- Mount (under desk)
and PN F1DN-MOD-VMOUNT (VESA Mount) are available for installation. Contact
Belkin sales for specifications and delivery.
Consider the following when deciding where to place the switch:
• Access to the top-panel push buttons may not be required, since the
switching can be done through the Guard Mode Switching (GMCS) interface
or included remote control
• The location of your computers in relation to your console
• The lengths of the cables (6 feet) you use to connect your computers to
the Switch
Warning:
Avoid placing cables near fluorescent lights, air-conditioning equipment,
or machines that create electrical noise (e.g., vacuum cleaners).
Important:
If the unit’s enclosure appears disrupted, please remove product from service
immediately and contact belkin Technical support at (800) 282-2355.
