Make contact between both test probes. The continuity
symbol
must be illuminated. A simultaneous acou-
stic signal must be audible.
Test Polaris 3 plus Voltage Testers on a known voltage
source.
Voltage testers may no longer be used if one or several
functions fail, or if no functional reliability can be detec-
ted.
Polaris 3 plus 3 plus is equipped with a built-in load,
enabling 10mA or 30 mA RCD switch .
During voltage tests (L against PE) in systems with RCD
circuit breakers a tripping of the RCD switch may be cau-
sed. To avoid RCD circuit-breaker tripping, first carry out
a test between L an N (approx. 5s). Then, L can be te-
sted against PE without RCD circuit-breaker tripping.
