For easy cleaning you can remove the lid. First you have to remove the cap on the
pointed end of the hinge rod. Then pull the hinge rod on the curved end, while holding
the lid.
After cleaning replace the lid in reverse order. In this case, the hinge caps of the lid must
be outside of the hinge caps of the appliance as shown in the figure.
Also make sure that the curved side of the hinge rod is directed downwards, otherwise
you can not close the lid.
For claeaning do the following:
1.
Always switch off and remove the mains plug from the mains supply and
allow the appliance to cool down. Only clean the appliance when it has
completely cooled down.
2.
Empty the water container after use. Clean the container with house-hold
washing-up liquid. After cleaning always rinse with warm water and dry. The
container, the lid and the inner tray can be cleaned in a dish-washer. Under
no circumstances may the housing be placed in a dish-washer.
3.
The housing should never be placed in water, only wipe with a damp cloth
around the signal light and thermostat turnable knob. Do not use abrasive or
aggressive cleaning substances.
4.
The appliance may not be placed where other appliances are cleaned with
high pressure water-jets.
5.
The appliance may not be cleaned with a high pressure water-jet.
Warning: The water container must be emptied and cleaned after every
use, to reduce the possibility of the building of dangerous germs.
