Cleaning
Hints and tips:
If you find any signs of damage or wear to the gasket or coffee funnel they should be
replaced by genuine spare parts.
Never rinse the tank and base under running water (Fig. 23).
Never immerse the tank and base in water (Fig. 24).
1.
Pull out the mains plug. Let the appliance cool down properly.
2.
Unscrew the container from the tank by turning in an anticlockwise direction.
ATTENTION: There may still be hot water in the container, the filter and the
tank. The unit remains very hot after use.
3.
Unscrew the valve jet (2) from the riser tube (Fig. 20).
4.
Clean the valve jet under running water and dry thoroughly (Fig. 21).
5.
Check the filter disc (9) and the top filter (11) for blockage whilst cleaning. A needle
can be used to remove coffee residues from the holes (Fig. 22).
6.
The container can also be cleaned under running water. Also clean the inside of the
riser tube at regular intervals.
NOTE: We do not recommend cleaning the component parts of the unit in the
dishwasher.
7.
Wipe the water tank with a damp cloth. Keep the electrical connections and
components dry.
