Protective Relay for Interconnection of Dispersed Energy

o To disconnect Dispersed Storage and Generation (DSG) when the continued use of the DSG

would adversely affect the utility or other customers on the distribution circuit.

o As a permissive relay to permit reconnection of DSG when the distribution/transmission line voltage has

been normal for a period longer than the longest automatic reclosing cycle in use by the utility.

o As a general purpose relay for any combination of the following functions: Overvoltage, undervoltage,

over frequency and under frequency.
