Transport
The device should be transported upright on its stand
if moved within the plant. Care must be taken to ensure
that the device is firmly fixed. Strong impacts and
vibrations are to be avoided so as to protect the
precision bearings. The device may only be lifted by
an eye bolt or textile transportation belts if transported
by a crane.
Installation
Please pay attention to the accident prevention
regulations „Compressors“VBG16, in particular
Section III C installatlon and IV „Operation“ as well
as VBG4 „ElectricaI equipment and resources“.
The blowers are designed to operate with a horizon-
tal motor shaft. Blowers for operation with a vertical
motor shaft are delivered on demand. In order to
prevent the blower from transmitting vibrations to the
laser it should be fastened with suitable rubber-metal
connection elements.
The cap pieces of the bearings should be easily
accessible tor service work.
Connection
The dimensions of the flanges for gas input and outlet
are based on ISO K (DIN 28404). For dimensions
and for the Iocation of the connections for water and
gas extraction see dimension drawing S 6.5 M for SV
6.250/1 and S 6.7 M for SV 6.250/2.
To avoid vibration use flexible elements (compen-
sators or flexible metal hoses) between blower and
laser.
Coolingwater
The permitted permanent operating pressure is 0.6 Mpa
(6 bar).The pressure of the cooling water may not
exceed 1 MPa (10 bar). The flow temperature of the
cooling water may not exceed 20 °C. Water cooling is
provided for the following components:

Please note:
·Connect the individual components in parallel.
·Use the largest hoses possible.
·OnIy operate the blower with a closed cooling circuit.
·Use deionized water to which an inhibitor has been
added (eg. VARIDOS AP or VARIOS VP 190 from the
firm of Schilling Chemie).
·Regularly check the efficiency of the corrosion
inhibitor according to product description for
concentration and pH value.
Gas extraction
Part of the used gas should be extracted through this
connection during operation.
Please ensure that the gas extraction and cooling
water connections are under no circumstances
confused!
Electrical connections
The electrical work may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Motor protection posistor (PTC): Twin-core connection
cable, 0.75 mm

. Connection only to a conventional
trigger device or to the PTC input of the frequency
inverter. There is a risk that the posistor will be
destroyed at supply voltages above 25 volts.
Bearing temperature (motor side and B side):
Model with integrated thermometer (KTY11-6 or
Pt100): A two core connection cable 0.75 mm

a suitable device for evaluation of the signals. Contact
us for the correct switch off temperature.
Motor feed line: Shealded cable, 3x2,5mm

+PE
If the core numbers are connected as follows:
1- U / 2- V / 3-W the correct direction of rotation is
guaranteed.
To avoid EMI connect shield at both sides with ground.
The blower may only be operated by a frequency
inverter which has been approved by Gebr. Becker.
Direct connection to the public mains leads to a
destruction of the motor.
