to seal interface between pedestal unit and floor
surface.
7. Remove protective film (when appropriate) and wipe
exterior surface clean. Scratches and marks resulting
from normal handling can be removed by carefully
rubbing surface (following grain pattern) with a 3M
Scotch-Brite-type of material.
Electrical Receptacle Installation
Make appropriate wiring connections to each
receptacle (receptacles may be located at any opening on
pedestal unit). Fasten receptacles to pedestal unit using
mounting screws provided. Attach trim coverplates, as
required, using mounting screws (Figure 5).
Lid Installation
1. Remove fasteners from inside of lid.
2. Place lid onto pedestal unit and install fasteners
securely (Figure 6).
Protection During Remainder of
Construction and Cleaning
1. Cover unit with clean, soft cloth or other appropriate
materials to protect unit from dust and damage during
completion of room construction.
2. Outlets may be wiped down with alcohol or mild
detergent solution to clean.
3. Stainless steel surface may be cleaned with any
suitable cleaner. Scratches and marks may be

3. Position pedestal unit and attach four corner
fasteners. Assembly should be mounted securely to
floor surface (Figure 4).
4. Attach medical gas piping to gas service extension(s)
on outlet block(s) mounted on inside of pedestal
(Figure 4). Follow procedures explained in National
Fire Protection Association, NFPA 99.
5. Route electrical wiring leads to appropriate mounting
box locations. Follow procedures explained in local
codes.
6. Use clear silicone sealer (to be supplied by installer)

It is recommended installer use 5/16” diameter
stainless steel fasteners with anchors.
NOTE:
Electrical rough-in boxes may be temporarily
removed to improve access to gas service extensions during
brazing.

Each gas service extension is identified by
color-coded gas service labeling. It is the responsibility of the
installer to be certain that all outlets are correctly connected
and system integrity is verified by system certification testing.
