The Technician Interface prompt appears. You do not have to reboot the router
after successfully completing the Quick-Start procedure.
Quick-Start Troubleshooting
If the router cannot ping the Site Manager workstation during the Quick-Start
installation, perform the following troubleshooting procedures:
•
Check the physical connections.
•
Verify the IP address of the router. Enter the
show ip circuits
command at the
Technician Interface prompt to make sure that the physical interface is up and
that the IP address is correct. For more information about the
show
command,
see Using Technician Interface Scripts.
•
Verify the IP address and subnet mask address of the Site Manager PC or
workstation.
•
If the Site Manager workstation is on a different network, verify that the
router is operational. Enter the
show ip routes
command at the Technician
Interface prompt to examine the routing table and verify that there is a route or
a default route to the network where the Site Manager workstation is located.
For more information about the
show
command, see Using Technician
Interface Scripts.
If you must rerun the script, first reboot the VNR with the ti_5000.cfg file.
Assigning a Password
To assign a security password to the Technician Interface before logging out, see
Using Technician Interface Software for instructions.
Note:
You boot with the ti_5000.cfg file and run install.bat once to configure
the initial interface only. To configure other interfaces, use Site Manager or
other router management software to create new configurations.
