7.10 Fixing the appliance in position.
There are two methods of fixing that may be used:
1. Cable Retention
2. Use of fixing brackets
If the fire is to be fitted in
front of the wall, then fixing
brackets may be used. If this
is the case, then refer to the
section entitled “Securing
firebox to wall using fixing
brackets” further on in this
manual.
If the cable fixing method is
used, it will be necessary to
install the eyebolts now. This
is achieved as follows :
1.
Working from the centre of
the flue hole, mark up four
holes as shown in figure 14.
2.
Drill the fixing holes to a minimum depth of
42mm using a 7mm masonry drill.
3.
Insert four fibre wallplugs (supplied in loose
parts pack).
4.
Now firmly screw in four eyebolts (also
supplied in loose parts pack).
7.10.1
Provision for main loom.
It may be necessary to cut a groove in the flue
hole to ensure that there is adequate clearance
for both the flue tube and the electrical loom. A
trial installation of both is recommended.
The groove should be cut in the lower right
hand side of the hole (Electrical control
assembly side). (See figure 15).
Alternatively, a separate electronic cable access hole of 25mm may be preferred, and
should be positioned as shown in figure 16.
