Poet can create an MP3 file from the scanned text. During this process
the speech output of Poet reads the text of the document into an MP3
audio file. This MP3 file is saved directly on the storage media of the
connected MP3 player. When an MP3 file is created Poet uses the
selected MP3 voice for reading the text. This MP3 voice can be selected
in the menu “Settings > MP3 voice”.
There are three different modes of creating MP3 files and how they are
saved and managed. You can define your favourite mode in the menu
item „Settings > General Settings“.
1.
MP3 Super Easy Mode: Very simple to use. Every time an MP3 player
is connected Poet creates an MP3 file each time you scan a
document, instead of reading the text loud to you. The MP3 file is
saved to the MP3 player automatically. This is the default mode.
2.
MP3 and MP3 Easy Mode: An MP3 file can be created from a
scanned or saved document and saved to the connected MP3 player.
In the menu you have the additional item “MP3”. This leads you to
further options to manage MP3 files or to start creating MP3 files. To
use the extended MP3 functions always choose your selection and
use Right key to access the further options.
