NOTE: Before using this tool, please read carefully the instruction manual.
The battery charger included is compatible with the built-in lithium-ion battery. Never
use a different type of charger.
Lithium-ion batteries are protected against deep discharges. When the battery has
exhausted its charge, the tool is stopped by a protection circuit. Therefore, the tool stops
rotating.
The battery pack may overheat in hot environments or after heavy work. Let the battery
cool down before recharging it.
a) Important information for recharging batteries
The battery in this product is sold uncharged. Therefore, charging the machine is
required before the first use.
NOTE:
If the battery pack is too hot, remove it from the tool and let it cool down to room
temperature before resuming the recharge.
To prevent damages in the battery pack, charge it fully or at least halfway before storing
it.
If the tool will not be used for a long time, charge the battery every 3 - 6 months.
Battery recharge
The battery (A) of this tool is made of lithium ions and operates at 18 V . It has secure
connection terminals (B), which means that when it is mounted on the tool, and on the
charger, it does not come loose, slip or disconnect.
-To remove it, both from the tool and the magazine, press the unlock button (C).
- To allow the user to monitor the remaining charge level, press the button (E) that turns
on the charge level LED lights (D). A light on indicates that it remains until approximately
¼ of charge. All lights on indicate that it is fully charged. See box
The battery also has an intelligent electronic circuit that disconnects it from the tool
when it is in bad conditions or is very hot, as a protection measure.

Battery
attachment may come into contact with concealed electrical cables. Contact with a live conductor
can make metal machine parts live and in doing so lead to electrocution.
NOTE
: In some cases the safety instructions above do not apply if polishing or sanding are the only
recommended usage types.
• Keep the power cord away from rotating attachments. If you lose control of the machine, the
power cord can be cut or drawn in resulting in your hand or arm being pulled towards the rotating
attachment.
• Never put down the power tool until the attachment has stopped completely. The rotating
attachment can come in contact with the ground so that you risk losing control of the power tool.
• The power tool must not be running when you carry it. Clothes coming into temporary contact with
the rotating attachment can be drawn in so that the attachment is drawn towards your body.
• The ventilation openings on the power tool should be cleaned regularly. The motor fan draws dust
into the housing and a considerable accumulation of metal dust can cause an electrical hazard.
• Do not use the power tool in the vicinity of flammable materials. The material may be ignited by
sparks.
• Do not use attachments that require liquid coolants. Water or other liquid coolants can result
electrical shock.
NOTE:
The safety instructions above do not apply to power tools designed for connection to a liquid
supply.
