Turntable plate 

will not turn.

Ensure the AC adapter is plugged in at the wall.  
Check the plug connected to the unit.

The tone arm will 

not move.

Release the tone arm lock.

No Sound can be 

heard.

Ensure the stylus / needle cover has been removed.
Check the volume is turned up.

Excessive 

crackling can be 

heard.

Clean the record with a high quality anti-static cloth 
and cleaning solution.

NOTE: Only use cleaning products designed 

specifically for vinyl records. Using incompatible 
cleaning products may permanently damage records 
and the Retro Briefcase Turntable.
