Using the Audio Line-In Connection (AUX IN)
You can connect the audio output of an external audio device, such as an MP3 player,
to this unit to listen to the sound of that device through the speakers of this boombox.
Such a connection requires a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
• Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm audio input on this unit and the
headphones socket or the audio output of your MP3 player or other audio device.
• Slide the function switch to CD/Line In mode.
• Switch on the external device and use its controls to play your audio through the
boombox.
Insertion and Removal of Discs
• When opening the CD door, always ensure the disc is not in motion (not spinning).
Always press the STOP button to stop the disc spinning first.
• Place a finger in the CD door opening recess and gently lift the CD door open.
• Place a CD into the compartment with the label (printed) side of the disc facing
upwards. Press down in the centre part of the disc until the disc locks onto the
centre spindle.
• Gently lower the CD door downwards until it locks shut. The CD is now ready to be
played.
• To remove a disc, follow the same procedure as described above, except remove
the CD instead of inserting it into the compartment. Place one finger at the middle
of the disc (centre spindle) and the other at the edge of the disc and gently pull the
disc upwards to remove it.
• IMPORTANT: Always hold a CD by its edges to avoid getting any fingerprints,
smudges or dirt onto the disc surface. In case this happens, use a special CD
cleaning cloth or kit to remove the dirt or smudges.
