TESTING THE TUB
A)
All bathtubs are fully tested for water leaks and performance before being packaged
and shipped to the buyer.
B)
A visual inspection of all parts must be undertaken immediately after delivery and
before the unit is moved into the bathroom.
C)
Damage can easily occur during this moving operation, so once again, a visual inspection
should be undertaken when the unit is in place in the bathroom.
D)
Connect the tub to the drain and the electrical outlet.
E)
The tub should be cleaned of all debris or dirt.
F)
The tub should be filled with water to just over the overflow and allowed to sit for 30
minutes and inspected for leaks.
G)
Before activating the jets etc., drain a little water from the tub so the water level is
about 2
” above the highest jet
H)
Turn the directional eye on the water jets to face down
I)
The jets should then be activated and allowed to run for a further 5 minutes and
checked for leaks.
J)
Test all functionality; jet direction adjustment, zone control, light etc.
K)
If leaks occur, tighten any obvious joints or jets where applicable.
