Filling
Fill the gas burner exclusively with commercially available lighter gas (butane
gas).
Fill the gas tank only in a well ventilated environment and avoid naked flames
(danger of explosion!).
When filling, observe the safety and operating instructions of the lighter gas
manufacturer. Gas burners may only be filled when cool.
Stop the filling process immediately if gas escapes. A gas-air mixture could
arise which is liable to explode. Make sure that the room has been well
ventilated before you ignite gas burners or other sources of ignition.
• Turn the gas burner around so that the filling valve faces upwards.
• Fit the lighter-butane gas bottle (if required by means of an appropriate adaptor) onto the
charging valve. Now strongly press the gas bottle downwards in vertical direction.
• The gas now flows into the gas tank. The filling process takes about 3s.
Operation
Always push the ignition button quickly and downwards with a jerk until the
stop.
By this you avoid the accumulation of a higher amount of an ignitable mixture
caused by prolonged gas leakage, which then might be ignited abruptly by the
ignition spark and therefore produce a temporary darting flame.
When igniting and using the gas burner, keep it away from the body and
clothing. Always hold the gas burner in such a manner that the flame points
away from you.
Ignite the flame only for a few seconds as (max. 2 minutes), otherwise, the
housing of the lighter could heat up too much (danger of burning!).
Make sure that the flame has fully died out.
• Push the ignition button downwards with a jerk until the piezo spark igniter is activated and
thereby ignites the flame (repeat this process if the flame was not ignited the first time).
• Release the ignition button to switch off.
Adjustment of the flame size
Do not move the thumb wheel beyond the palpable limit stop and do not
remove it from the housing. This may lead to leakage of gas and to risk of
explosion.
• Move the thumb wheel on the filling valve in direction of the +-symbol in order to increase the
flame size or, in opposite direction to minimise it.
Care and cleaning
• Except for filling with lighter gas, the gas burner is maintenance-free.
• Clean the exterior of the device only with a soft dry cloth.
• Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the housing could
be damaged.
Disposal
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations. Before disposal, the gas tank must be emptied (however, do
not just let the gas escape into the environment but burn it in a controlled way).

guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Gas burners contain butane gas. They therefore have to be kept away from
sources of heat and sunlight (>40°C).
• Do not remove or open the filling valves to allow gas to escape.
• The housing of gas burners may not be opened, damaged or held in fire or naked
flames! Risk of explosion!
• Never expose the gas burner to mechanical stress. The gas tank could start to
leak (danger of fire and explosion!).
• Do not try to repair the gas burner. If a gas burner should become damaged or
defective, dispose of it correctly.
• Lighters may not be operated, filled or stored in areas where explosive, easily
flammable materials, combustible gases, vapours or dust, or inflammable liquids
(solvents, alcohol, benzines etc.) are kept or could be kept. There is the risk of
explosion or fire!
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
