b) Batteries
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.
• Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of
time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause
acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to
handle corrupted batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying
around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.
• All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in
the device can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
•
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

Operation
For non-stop operation we recommend using an external mains unit (e.g. item no.
512834) instead of batteries for voltage supply!
a) Inserting the batteries
• Move the battery compartment cover in the direction indicated by the arrow by applying light
pressure.
• Insert 4 new type AA batteries into the battery compartment

. Observe the correct polarity
while doing so (“+” = positive; “-” = negative).
• Reattach the battery compartment cover and lock the battery compartment. The cover must
audibly lock into place.
Follow the same steps to replace the battery. Replace the battery at least once a
year.
b) Installation
• Set up the door bell on a shelf or hang it to a wall e.g., to an already existing wall hook!
Make certain when drilling and tightening the screws that no cables or pipes are
damaged. Inadvertently drilling through electric cables causes the life-threatening
danger of an electric shock!
c) Operation
• Activate the door bell by setting the sliding switch to position “Vol.LOW” or “Vol.HIGH”.
• After a warm-up phase of approx. 10 seconds, the door bell sounds as soon as the sensor
detects a movement within its range (0° approx. 5m to the front). Subsequently, the door bell
switches off automatically and is ready again.
• Set the sliding switch to position “OFF” to deactivate the door bell!
The sensor does not detect movements in absolute darkness. To work properly
it requires a minimum illumination of 0.3 lux. Furthermore, you must avoid direct
sunlight or powerful illumination!
Care and cleaning
• Except for an occasional battery change, this product requires practically no maintenance.
• Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. To prevent scratch marks, do not apply
too much force on the surface during cleaning. Dust can easily be removed using a clean,
soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

This door bell monitors doors or rooms in houses, stores, offices, hotel rooms, etc. It is powered
by four 1.5 V AA batteries or via a mains unit (6 V/DC, 300 mA).
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.

a) General
