5.3 Operation
•
Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.
•
Turn the device on using the ON/OFF switch.
•
The device is equipped with two UV lights which attract insects. The device kills
insects with a tension of 2500 V on electrified metal netting.
•
Once killed, insects fall into the easily removable tray.
•
Do not use the device in bright light, as this negatively affects its efficiency.
•
Before turning other light sources on in the bedroom, turn the electric insect killer on
for 10 to 20 minutes.
•
It is recommended to use the device for 24 hours. Turning the device on and off
frequently will have a negative impact on the lights’ longevity.
•
While the device is in use, ensure that the metal netting is properly secured and has
not been damaged. Remember that the metal netting’s wires were installed parallel
to one another. Space must be left between the wires, which should not be touching.
Otherwise, the device will work less efficiently.
WARNING! Risk of electric shock!
Never touch the metal netting when the device is turned on.
Never use the device with bare and wet hands!
Never touch the metal netting with a conductive substance, even if the device is
turned off (on/off switch in “0” position).
The device remains electrically charged for some time after it is turned off.
To avoid electric shock, discharge the electricity by using an isolated rod (with
metal tip).
