6. Cleaning and descaling
CAUTION!
Disconnect the unit from the power supply (unplug!) before cleaning.
The unit is not designed to be rinsed with running water.
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the device!
Be careful and do not let the water into the unit.
Regular cleaning
o
Clean the device after every use.
o
Wash the inside of the water tank with a mild cleaning agant, then rinse with
running water. To clean the drain tap, run the clean water through it.

Wash the lid and rinse under warm, running water.
o
Clean the device’s external surfaces with a wet soft cloth, and a mild cleaning
agent if needed.
o
Always use a soft cloth, never use abrasive cleaners that might scratch the device.
o
After cleaing, dry surface and polish it with a soft, dry cloth.
Descaling
CAUTION!
Failure to conduct regular descaling - in accordance with the
instructions - may be the basis for rejecting complaints.
The warranty does not cover this type of complaint!
Descale the device regularly!

Hard water may cause scaling in the water tank, thus extending the time needed to
heat water and possibly causing damage of the device. If possible, use filtered
water to avoid scaling!
o
We recommend using citric acid or vinegar for ecological descaling. Prepare a
solution of water with vinegar (3:1 ratio) or water with citric acid (2 table
spoons per 1 liter of water) and fill the tank. Wait some time (ca. 1 hour), and
then boil the solution.
