Safety during operation 

 

 

DANGER 

DEATH OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY DUE TO A DAMAGED EXPLOSION PROTECTION 
MEASURE. SAFE OPERATION OF THE CONTROL UNIT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE. 
Explosion hazard 

 

The APEX control unit must be taken out of operation and secured 
against being switched on again.

Operating phases of the Ex p control unit 

 

The operation of a pressurised enclosure can be divided into three phases. The 
three phases are divided into the preparation, pre-purge and operating phases.
