OPERATION

NOTICE:

Make certain you unwind the garden hose completely. Kinks in the hose will restrict the

pump, preventing it from priming, which is the first step to pumping water.

NOTICE:

Find the lowest spot in the flooded area and place the pump there to make sure water

slopes to the pump

1.  Plug the pump into a 115-volt GFCI power outlet.
2.  The pump will only turn on if there is approximately 1-1/2 in. of water around the pump.  Water

must be high enough to raise the float switch in the black cage by bottom of the pump.

NOTE:

If the water level is close to 1-1/2 in. and the pump has not turned on, turn the pump

upside down to manually activate the float switch, then place the pump in the water

3.  When the pump removes water down to approximately 1/8 in., the pump will run for an additional

30-60 seconds and then turn off.

The pump can remain plugged in and will automatically turn back on when water reaches

approximately 1-1/2 in. again.

TROUBLESHOOTING (CAUTION: SHUT OFF POWER TO THE PUMP)

PROBLEMS

POSSIBLE CAUSES / SOLUTIONS

Pump does not
run or it hums

● Water not high enough to activate float. Turn pump upside down to manually

activate float, or wait for more water to flow to pump.

● Line circuit breaker is off, or fuse is burned out. Reset breaker or replace fuse.
● Plug is disconnected. Secure the plug.
● Thermal overload. Unplug the pump for 30 minutes then plug in.
● Plug is corroded. Clean the plug prongs.
● Motor failed. Call 1-844-251-7445

Pump cannot
pump water out
or pumps very
little water

● Screen is blocked. Clean the screen
● Hose is kinked, bent sharply, or coiled. Straighten the hose.
● There is an airlock in the discharge. Clean the airlock release feature (see label

on base of pump). If not blocked, slightly loosen hose while pump is running.

● Hose diameter is too small. Use a larger diameter hose.
● Hose length is too long. Use a shorter hose.
● Impeller is broken. Call 1-844-251-7445 for a replacement.
● Extension cord is being used and does not provide sufficient power. Use a

shorter, heavier gauge cord.

● Vertical pumping distance (head) is too high. Reduce distance or increase

diameter of discharge pipe/hose.
