6. Cabling
6.1 Power cabling of a SP-20 tile
Power boxes
Barco provides several types of power boxes. Depending on the size of the SP-20 display you can choose to use the mono phase
power box or the custom made power box. The type of power box does not in
fl uence the power cabling of the SP-20 display. See
the corresponding installation manual of the concerned power box for installation instructions.

To protect against risk of fi re caused by overloading of power cables, MAXIMUM six (6) tiles may be connected
in parallel. Each power source cable supplying maximum six (6) tiles should be protected by a circuit breaker
or fuses rated 16 A / 250 VAC (15 A / 250 VAC in the USA and Canada). Note that one SP-20 tile requires
200-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz, 1.56 amps at 230 VAC.
Necessary parts
• Power box(es) with matching cables.
• Power link cables.
• Dummy power plugs.
How to realize the power cabling of the SP-20 display?
1. Install the power box nearby the TF-20 display. Ensure the power box provides as much power circuits as required to power the
display in a safe manner. If necessary, install several power boxes. See manual of the used power box for installation instructions.
2. Connect a power source cable coming from the power box with the fi rst tile in the SP-20 sports perimeter.
3. Create a power branch of maximum six (6) tiles by placing a power link cable between the neighboring tiles.
4. Place a dummy power plug on the power output socket of the last tile in the power branch.
5. Make sure that all plug holder clamps are locked fi rmly.
6. Repeat from step 2 until all tiles are provided with power.
