TRACTOR ENGINE
While
in operation, the tractor engine should be kept at an RPM that will result in a

RPM PTO
speed. This should be displayed on the tractor's tachometer. The speed of the tractor and the
PTO speed will later be adjusted to suit individual beaches.
FLOW CONTROL
The
flow control valve lever should be adjusted once the PTO
on the tractor is engaged. The pump will deliver oil to the flow control valve. The
lever on the valve regulates the conveyor belt speed. Adjust the belt speed as
described in the operation section in this manual (Belt speed of
14 RPM
is a good
initial setting). The valve is also equipped with an overflow relief, factory set to
2000 PSI (13,788 kPa)
, which serves as a safety device should the belt
mechanism jam.
