Transporting, packaging and storage
5.1 Transport inspection
On receipt, immediately inspect the delivery for completeness and transport
damage.
Proceed as follows in the event of externally apparent transport damage:
•
Do not accept the delivery, or only accept it subject to reservation.
•
Note the extent of the damage on the transport documentation or the
shipper‘s delivery note.
•
Initiate complaint procedures.
Issue a complaint in respect of each defect immediately
following detection. Damage compensation claims can
only be asserted within the applicable complaint dead-
lines.
5.2 Packaging
The individual packages have been packed in a carton in accordance with the
expected transport conditions. Environmentally friendly materials are used as
much as possible for the packaging.
The carton should protect the individual components from transport damage,
corrosion and other damage prior to assembly. Therefore, do not destroy the
carton and unpack the items shortly before assembly.
Dispose of packaging material in accordance with the relevant applicable legal
requirements and local regulations.

Danger to the environment due to incorrect disposal
Packaging materials are valuable raw materials and in
many cases can continue to be used or can be properly
processed and recycled. Incorrect disposal of packaging
materials may pose risks to the environment.
•
Dispose of packaging materials in accordance with
the environmental regulations.
•
Observe locally applicable waste disposal regulations.
If necessary, outsource the disposal to a specialist
company.
5.3 Symbols on the packaging
The following symbols are printed on the packaging. The symbols must always
be heeded during transport.
The arrow tips on the sign mark the top of the package.
They must always point upwards; otherwise the content
could be damaged.
