2 Complete device
2.1 Temperature specifications
Temperature specifications must take both the permissible temperature range of the system unit as well as that
of the installed components into consideration. The latter can be found in the technical data for the individual
components.
The permissible temperature ranges based on the type of installation must also be taken into consideration. For
more information about this, refer to the section " Mounting orientation" on page 62.
Information regarding worst-case conditions
•
Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT V2.02) from Intel for simulating a 100% processor load
•
BurnInTest tool (BurnInTest V4.0 Pro from Passmark Software) for simulating a 100% load on the interface
via loop back adapters (serial interfaces, USB ports)
•
Maximum system expansion and power consumption
2.1.1 Temperature sensor locations
Sensors monitor temperature values at various locations (USB ports, main memory) inside the APC510. These
temperatures
1)
can be read in Microsoft Windows operating systems using the B&R Control Center
2)
or in Automa-
tion Runtime using data points in Automation Studio.
