4.4 Dismounting and mounting the standard/booster horns
Standard/booster horns
• are screwed onto the respective ultrasonic converter,
• are made of high-strength titanium alloy,
• transmit the oscillations to the probe,
• enhance the amplitude thanks to their geometry.
Standard/booster horn SH 100 G is fi rmly mounted onto the UW 100 and SH 200 G onto UW 200
at the time of delivery.
Before mounting the standard/booster horns, the ultrasonic generator must
be turned o
ff and the ultrasonic converter must be disconnected from the
ultrasonic generator.

Dismounting
 Release the fi rmly-mounted standard/booster horn SH from the ultrasonic converter UW. To do
so, lay the ultrasonic converter on a fi rm base (non-slip if possible).
 Place one sickle spanner on the ultrasonic converter and the other sickle spanner on the
standard/booster horn. To dismount, press the fi rst sickle spanner against the fi rm base, press
the other sickle spanner fi rmly in the opposite direction.
 One sickle spanner is part of the s cope of delivery of one standard/booster horn.
