Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer to find the smart camera or the PC in the network. To do this,
•
select the network folder
to display all connected network devices or
•
press
W R
and
enter the address of the Balluff SmartVision Controller (e.g.
\\svc-000110\
).
As soon as you have chosen a Balluff SmartVision Controller, the shared folders of the Balluff SmartVision Controller are
displayed:
•
images
Here you can drop
*.bmp
images, which can be opened using the camera simulation ("File Device") (see chapter
"Tool Box" → "Image capturing tools" → "Set up camera" → "Active camera" in the "
BVS Cockpit Manual
").
•
logs
Here you can find the log files of the Balluff SmartVision Controller (see chapter "User Interface" → "System Menu"
→ "System Settings" → "System" in the "
BVS Cockpit Manual
").
•
updates
For updating the Balluff Sm
artVision Controller drop the update file in this folder (see chapter "Startup" → "Updating
software").
NOTE
In order to access these folders you have to use the following credentials:

If you cannot access the shared folders, please have a look a the appendix "Troubleshoot-
ing Table" → "Accessing the shared folders is not possible".
