7.6 Diagnostic data
The BML reports diagnostic data (events) to the controlling
system (see Tab. 7-21) or the controlling system can read
out the status using the diagnostics parameters.

0x4210 Warning DEVICE TEMPERATURE OVERRUN (see Section 7.5.7) – The set upper temperature
warning threshold has been exceeded.
0x4220 Warning DEVICE TEMPERATURE UNDERRUN (see Section 7.5.7) – The set lower temperature
warning threshold has been undercut.
0x5010 Error COMPONENT MALFUNCTION – Problem with the device hardware. Restart the BML by
interrupting power. If the event is repeated, the BML must be replaced.
0x8D02 Error OUT OF RANGE PLUS – The sensor head is outside the detection range. No valid data is
output. The sent process data value is 0x7FFFFFF8 resp. 2'147'483'640.
0x8D03 Error OUT OF RANGE MINUS – The sensor head is outside the detection range. No valid data is
output. The sent process data value is 0x80000008 resp. –2'147'483'640.
0x8D04 Error NO MEASUREMENT DATA – No sensor head detected. No valid data is output. The sent
process data value is 0x7FFFFFFC resp. 2147483644.
0x8D05 Error REDUNDANCY CHECK FAILED – Measuring error. Absolute value can not be correctly
processed.
0x8D06 Warning MEASUREMENT DATA UNSAFE – The excess gain is too low. The application must be
checked.
0x8DC0 Warning TEACH IN TIMEOUT – Teach-In procedure was quit after a timeout.
