8 MAINTENANCE
Before any work is carried out, it is mandatory to remove the plug from the power socket (depending on
the type of power supply).
In the event of a breakdown, the operator must immediately stop the machine, ascertain the extent of
the problem and carry out any necessary work on the machine.
Carry out periodic inspections and maintenance work in accordance with the Use and Maintenance
Manual. Proper maintenance is a guarantee of excellent work performance.
Check for frame and crankcase looseness.
Check the sharpness of the cutting disc.
Check the cutting disc guides.
ATTENTION!
Any maintenance, adjustment and cleaning work must be carried out with the
machine on the ground, the tractor engine switched off, the power take-off
switched off, the handbrake engaged, the ignition key switched off and
removed from the ignition switch.
Maintenance work on the machine must only be carried out by specialised personnel or in any case by
personnel who are trained for the task.
Always use gloves and safety shoes.
The company recommends a check-up on your machine after approximately 2000 working hours
(one year at an average working time of 40 hours per week).
This check is necessary to ensure the efficiency, durability and safety of your machine over time.
When using pressurised air for cleaning, protective goggles or masks must be worn and any persons or
animals in the vicinity of the machine must be kept away.
Do not use flammable fluids.
Regularly clean the machine of dust and shavings to minimise the risk of dust inhalation and the risk of
fire.
Regular maintenance is the best guarantee for a safe operation
of the machine.
