The partition prevents food w hich is to be
frozen in the prefreezer co m part m ent
fro m co m ing into contact w ith already
frozen food in the storage co m part m ent.
If the partition is pulled out and placed
onthe botto
m of the chest freezer, s m all
ite m s of frozen food, e.g. stra w berries,
can be frozen quickly and above all
individually. When defrosting the
appliance, the partition can be placed
under the drainage duct to catch the
defrost
w ater.
Defro s ting
A layer of frost on the container w alls
i m pairs refrigeration of the frozen food
and increases po w er consu m ption.
R e m ove the layer of hoarfrost regularly.
General ti ps

When loading and unloading the chest
freezer, open the lid as briefly as
possible.

D o not install the chest freezer
inada m p roo m . High air hu m idity
pro m otes for m ation of frost.

Pack fresh food as airtight as possible.
Attention: D o not scrape off hoarfrost or
ice w ith a knife or pointed object. You
could da m age the refrigerant tubes.
Leaking refrigerant m ay ignite or cause
eye injuries.
Thawing the a pp liance

Approx. 4 hours before defrosting

w itch on fast freeze to ensure that the
food is frozen solid.

Then re m ove frozen food and w rap in
several layers of ne w spaper or a
blanket and store in a cool location.

O pen the lid and pull out the m ains
plug.

After defrosting, clean the appliance
and
w ipe the inside dry.

C lose defrost w ater drainage w ith both
stoppers, insert partition, connect
appliance and put back frozen food.
Defro s ting ai ds
To accelerate the defrosting process,
aplastic spatula can be used to re
m ove
the layer of ice
Warning!
Never use electric appliances, defrosting
sprays or a naked fla
m e to defrost the
appliance, such as heaters, stea m
cleaning equip m ent, candles or
petroleu m la m ps, etc.
D o not place a pan of hot w ater in the
appliance to accelerate the defrosting
process.
