Protective Apparel

For your safety, we strongly recommend that you always wear a DOT approved motorcycle helmet,
approved goggles sturdy boots, durable gloves, long pants and long-sleeved shirt or jacket whenever you
drive.

Although complete protection is not possible, wearing proper protective apparel can reduce the chances of
injuries when you drive.

The following suggestion will help you choose the proper driving gear.

1. Helmets and Eye Protection Gear

Your helmet is your most important driving gear because it offers the best protection against head injuries.
Your helmet should fit your head comfortably and securely.

An open-face helmet offers some protection, but a full-face helmet offers more. Regardless of the style,
look for the helmet with a DOT (Department of Transportation) sticker.
