Anti-springback lever engaged

Anti-springback lever disengaged

5.  After the material is installed, bending can take place.
6.  Grab the main bending lever and begin to pull in the counterclockwise direction. You should

hear a definite “Click” every 7 degrees. After each click, rotate the lever clockwise to re-

engage the next tooth and repeat the process to whatever degree you wish. Note: Every pull

of the lever should equal only one click, if you pull past one click, the anti-spring back latch

may allow the material to loosen during the bending operation.

7.  Continue ratcheting until the desired degree angle is reached as displayed on the ratchet

wheel pointer.

8.  If the bend requires more degrees, increase the degrees by further activating the ratchet

lever. This allows the operator to gradually reach a bend angle, on the first set up piece.

Once the proper degree of bend is achieved, document the degree (ex; 98deg = 90deg

bend, 8degrees of spring back) so multiple bends to that same degree can be accomplished.

Material Removal

1.  After reaching the desired angle, the material needs to be removed.
2.  Pull the anti-springback lever (clockwise) to release tension.

3.  Rotate the main bending lever fully to the right or clockwise, this will free the ratchet wheel

completely. Grab the ratchet wheel and rotate counterclockwise until it stops completely, this

is the “home” or “0°” position. The degree pointer should verify this.

4.  Once at the “0°” position, engage the anti-springback lever to lock the pin. Activate the quick

release counter die lever and completely remove the material.

5.  The machine is now at the “home” position and can be reloaded for the next bend.
6.  Repeat previous steps.

CAUTION:

Stand clear of the material it may spring out quickly.
