Operation and Control
Adjust cutting depth
(Figure 4)

•
Caution!
Damage to the
carbide cutter, carbide cutter with indexable inserts
or
diamond
grinding disc
because cutting depth too large.
►
For grinding work using the carbide cutter, carbine cutter with indexable inserts or
diamond grinding discs, the guard plate (3) must be set to the
smallest cutting
depth
, i.e.
three
washers (2) must be fitted for each hex socket cap screw (4).
The cutting depth can be changed by using washers (2) to adjust the height of the
guard plate (3).
• Use the Allen key SW 5 to unscrew the four hex socket cap screws (4).
• Remove the guard plate (3).
• The required cutting depth is set by inserting the correct number of washers (2)
between the machine housing (1) and the guard plate (3):
– the smallest cutting depth of 1.2 mm is achieved by inserting three washers,
– the maximum cutting depth of 6 mm is set if no washers are inserted.
• Position the required number of washers (2) over the four threaded holes of the
machine housing (1) – the same number of washers must be placed on each
threaded hole.
• Attach the guard plate (3).
• Screw in and tighten the four hex socket cap screws (4).
•
Please note!
Three washers are fitted in the factory, i.e. the smallest cutting depth of 1.2 mm is
preset.
