Your facial skin should be shaven, clean and dry with no remnants of a cream or lotion.
Please do not try to remove hair (whether with, for example, an electric epilator or with wax) before
using the Homelight epilator. Epilation (removing hair by its roots) renders pulsed light treatment
ineff ective.
1. Place the special face fi lter on the application surface located on the head of your Homelight depilator
before connecting it to the mains and switching it on. To put it in place, carefully take hold of the ends
of the face fi lter with your thumb and index fi nger and gently but fi rmly press it onto the head of the
appliance. Ensure that the fi lter is correctly positioned.
2. Plug in the unit and press the ON button to switch it on.
3. In about 1.6 second (at level 1) the ‘Ready’ indicator light will come on. The appliance is now ready to
release the fi rst pulse. The appliance is set to the lowest power setting by default. The power indicator
light for level 1 is lit. To treat the face, it is strongly recommended that you adjust the appliance to the
lowest light intensity: level 1.
It is imperative not to look directly at the area treated during the fl ash and to
wear protective eye glasses when using the Homelight epilator to treat the face.

The special face fi lter is appropriate for treating your cheeks, upper lip and chin.
Do not use for epilation of eye lashes, head hair, and eyebrows.
This product is not appropriate for full removal of male beard.
For your comfort and safety, we recommend you have someone help you for the
fi rst few sessions using the Homelight on your face.
To epilate the face, it is imperative that you use the special face fi lter (only
available on selected models). Its smaller surface with a fi lter to reduce the light
intensity is intended to treat the face gently. Do not use Homelight on the face
WITHOUT the special face fi lter.
The PRECISION mode is required when removing facial hair.
DO NOT USE THE GLISS MODE TO TREAT THE FACE OR SENSITIVE AREAS.
