• While firmly pressing the black ridged button and slide the brush
sleeve off.
• On longer styles, be careful not to overlay the hair around the
barrel as this may cause tangling.
To insert or change the Energy Cell
• Remove the base of the appliance handle.
• Remove the cap from the energy cell.
• Place the energy cell into the handle, the top inserted first.
• Twist the energy cell clockwise and screw firmly in place.
• Replace the handle base.
To check level of energy cell
• Check the level of fuel left in the energy cell by looking at the clear
base of the cell while in a horizontal position (see figure 1). If cell
is empty, replace with a new BaByliss energy cell.

Protective Heat Shield
• After styling, ensure the appliance is switched off and cool.
• Remove the brush attachment from the barrel.
• Press the lever release button, this will lift the clip that will hold
the heat shield in place.
• Slide the heat shield down over the barrel until it slots into place
under the clip.
• Release the lever button, the clip will then lock the heat shield in
place.
NOTE:
The brush attachment must be removed before the
protective heat shield can be placed onto the barrel.
