•  Switch the appliance off and unplug at the mains supply.
•  As you remove the blades carefully note which way round they are

fitted, this will help when re-assembling.

•  First, remove the two screws from the large fixed blade and detach

this blade.

• Pull off the smaller blade.
•  Now brush away the hair and other debris from the interior of the

cutting head and blades.

•  Re-assembly is simply the reverse of the above instructions.
•  Finally, before fully tightening the two screws in the large blade, to

avoid injury ensure that the blades are correctly aligned. With the
cutting head adjustment lever fully forward, the tips of the small
blade must be parallel with 1mm below the tips of the large blade.
Also check that the extreme left hand tooth of the top blade is inside
the bottom blade. (Failure to do so could cause injury).

•  Carefully tighten the two screws in the bottom blade, taking care not

to disturb the above correct position of the blades.

When used regularly, the clipper blades will not need to be oiled.
However, if the clipper has not been used for a prolonged period of
time, it is advisable to oil the blades before use. After cleaning, switch
the appliance on, and oil the blades by adding a few drops of the oil
supplied over the blades. Only use the lubricating oil supplied with this
appliance as this is specifically formulated for high speed clippers and
does not evaporate or slow the blades.
