5-8
2.
If you have selected Network Device or User Defined IP from the MAC Source drop-down list,
enter the correct IP address under Network Device or User Defined IP.
3.
If you have selected Dial-up IP, Network Device, or User Defined IP from the MAC Source
drop-down list, enter the IP-MAC prefix suggested by your service provider into the second
block of the six-part Unicast MAC field. When Sky2PC calculates the unicast MAC address
from a selected IP address (either Dial-up IP, Network Device, or User Defined IP), it inserts two
additional numbers in front of the four-part IP address to form the six-part MAC address. The
first number is fixed, while the second number is the IP-MAC prefix you have just entered.
4.
Under PID List, verify that your data service's unicast PIDs are listed in the larger textbox. To
add more PIDs, enter the PID in the smaller text field and click Insert. The newly added PID
should list in the textbox to the right of Insert.
5.
Add your data service's unicast channel(s) to the Transponder list. (See “Adding Data Channels”
on page 5-8
.)
6.
Click OK.
Configuring Multicast
1.
If your service uses automatic multicast PID setting:
On the Data Services dialog, under PID List, select the Auto-Set Multicast PIDs checkbox.
2.
If your service does not use automatic multicast PID setting:
On the Data Services dialog, deselect the Auto-Set Multicast PIDs checkbox.
3.
Under PID List, verify that your data service's multicast PIDs are listed in the larger textbox. To
add more PIDs, enter the PID in the smaller text field and click Insert. The newly added PID
should list in the textbox to the right of Insert.
4.
Add your data service's multicast channel(s) to the Transponder list. (See “Adding Data Chan-
nels”
on page 5-8
.)
5.
Click OK.
Adding Data Channels

1.
At the Transponder list textbox, click Add. The Add Transponder dialog appears. (The Add
Transponder dialog is identical to the Edit Transponder dialog.)
