Assembling the Scale
Note that the four threaded overload stops in the corners of the base assembly have
been adjusted to be tight against the underside of the spider tubes for shipping.
Prior to use the overload stops must be adjusted to allow approximately a to 1/4” gap
(dependent upon capacity) between the top of the bolt head and bottom of spider
tubes. To adjust the overload stops loosen the jam nut against the corner plate and
then turn bolt head to proper distance. Retighten the jam nut to prevent the overload
stops from moving. If the spider tubes “bottom out” against any overload stops with a
load equal to or less than the maximum capacity, readjust the overload stops.
Place the platter over the spider assembly after all adjustments have been made.
