7.3 Once a year, an operating duration test of the battery should be simulated for the entire length of the running
period (3 hours).
7.4 The battery capacity will be affected by the ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is permanently
higher than 45°C, you can expect to see a significant reduction in the operating duration. If the battery operating
life called for in your sector cannot be supplied, the battery must be changed.
7.5 As a rule, the battery will be recharged in 24 hours. If however the battery has been stored without charge for
an extended period, the charging time may be correspondingly longer.
7.6 The luminaire must be replaced if it does not start within 2 to 3 seconds, or if the ends show a black discoloration.
8. Disposal
When disposing of defective equipment, please observe the applicable regulations for recycling and disposal.
Plastic components are designated as such by an appropriate symbol.
9. Inspection / servicing / maintenance
In inspecting, servicing and maintaining electrical operating equipment, please have regard to the applicable
regulations and prescribed intervals.
9.1 Cleaning
For any cleaning of the surface that may be necessary, please use the standard cleaning materials that are
generally available. On no account should organic solvents be used.
9.2 Replacing the battery
The battery has a service life of 4 years. To replace it, loosen the two screws below the lamp. Fix the new
battery in place and connect the plug connection on the luminaire. Please only use suitable batteries.
