Purification Stages 1 and 2
1.
Fill a collection pail with
water from any tap, clear,
moving, or freshwater
source.
(Do not use hot, salt
or brackish water).
2.
If Optional Pre-Filter
Net was purchased,
stretch it over the top
of the Source Water
Container, seating the
elastic over the upper
lip of the pail.
3.
Pour the water
through the Pre-Filter
Net and into the Source
Water Container. The
Pre-Filter Net will filter
large particles and
debris from the source
water. The Sleeve
over the Pleated
Fibrous Filter will
remove sediment
and particles up to 5
microns in size.
4.
After you have poured water from the
collection pail into the source water
container cover the pail with its lid.
Purification Stages 3 and 4
Once through the Pre-Filter Net gravity
gradually pulls the water
through the Pleated
Fibrous Filter, removing
cysts, bacteria and virus
then down through the
center of the Filter Con
-
nector. The water then
enters the Multi-Media
Cartridge where chemi
-
cals, pesticides, herbi
-
cides, organic matter and
other contaminants are
absorbed by the Multi-
Media Cartridge, removing
toxins, bad tastes and odors from the
water.
The water is ready to drink as soon as it
enters the Purified Water Con
-
tainer. There is no need to wait for
this container to fill beyond the
level of the Spigot. just depress
the Spigot (located
near the bottom of
the Purified Water
Container) to
dispense clear,
filtered water.
NOTE:
The first few gallons of
filtered water may contain carbon
fines – which appear black In
color. These carbon fines are not
harmful, but can be flushed rather
than consumed. To flush, simply
allow the first few gallons of water
to pass, unused through the system, until
the water runs clear.
Remember:
The clearer the source water,
the longer your filters will last.

Pour-Through Water Purification and Filtration System

Hot water diminishes the system’s filtration life.
