4.2. Legrests
4.2.1. Swing-away legrests
You can flip the footplates up separately to the side and adjust to the
lower leg length of the user. You can remove the legrests, swing them
away and refit them without needing to use tools.
Attach legrests
•
Hold the top of the legrest so that it is pointing outwards.
•
Guide the legrest into the hole in the frame using the guide bolts
(Fig. 6).
•
Swing the legrest to the front until you hear it clearly click into
place (Fig. 6)
•
Flip the footplate down if necessary.
Swing the legrests away and remove them
In order to make it easier to transfer to and from your folding
wheelchair, you can swing the legrests inwards or outwards, without
having to remove them.
•
Flip the footplate up if necessary.
•
Pull the handle upwards (Fig. 7) and swing the legrest outwards
(Fig. 8).
•
In the outward position, the legrest can be pulled out by pulling it
upwards (Fig. 8).
Before setting off, fit the legrests as described above.
Never stand on the footplate and when swinging
it away, watch your fingers as there is a risk of
pinching

4.2.2. Adjusting the legrests
Loosen the screw on the clamp mounting, then adjust the legrest to the
required length and tighten the screw (Fig. 9). Please note the grooved
marking for the maximum adjustment.
4.2.3. Horizontally-adjustable leg-
rests (optional)
Assemble, disassemble and swing them away as for the standard
legrests.
To adjust, undo the clamp lever, then adjust the legrest to the required
length and then tighten the clamp lever
The horizontal adjustment works as follows:
•
Push the locking lever forwards.
•
by lifting or lowering the footplate receiver tube you can get the
legrest into the required position.
•
Release locking lever; legrest locks into place automatically.
Never stand on the footplate and when swinging
it away, watch your fingers as there is a risk of
pinching
To change seat, the legrest must be swung away
or removed. Never sit on the legrest. Risk of tipping
over!
4.3. Amputee legrests (optional)
Assemble, disassemble and swing them away as for the standard
legrests, adjustment
and the horizontal adjustment works as for the horizontally-adjustable
legrests:
