Jumpers are built on the mainboard to allow the user flexibility to configure the main-
board settings to meet their specific requirements. The mainboards in this series has a
single three pin jumper. On a three pin jumper if a jumper cap is inserted on pins 1 and 2
we say PIN 1 and PIN 2 are SHORT . When the jumper cap is inserted on pin 2 and 3,
we say PIN 2 and PIN 3 are SHORT (see the diagrams below).
2.9. Clear CMOS Memory
If you have made an improper setting in the BIOS setup and your computer is not func-
tioning, or if you have forgotten your password, you can use this jumper, JP 9, to clear
the CMOS memory and to reconfigure your system.
To clear the CMOS, please follow these instructions:
1. Turn the system power “OFF” and unplug your computer.
2. Insert the jumper cap on Pin 2 and Pin 3 for 3 ~ 5 seconds.
3. Pull out the jumper cap and replace it on Pin 1 and Pin 2.
5. Turn your PC on and run the BIOS setup program.

Hardware Installation
These mainboards are all fitted with a single switch, SW1. On this switch there are four
toggle switches that you can select as OFF or ON . The default has toggle switch 1 and 3
set to ON and toggle switch 2 and 4 set to OFF . If you toggle any of these switches to
ON , you will alter the processing speed of your CPU. The increase in the processing speed
is a multiple of the original processing speed. The table (see below) shows the different
combinations of the toggle switches and the multiple increase in the processing speed.
