Chapter 5 — Running The Software Utilities
5.1.1 Sample Sets
You can choose to use the Default Wave
Table Sample Set or other Sample Sets.
If you choose to use the Default Sample
Set, you can also select different
wavetable sample sets. Higher sample
sets will provide better quality but
requires more system memory.
Alternatively, a User Selectable Sample
Set can be used.
5.1.2 AC97 Controls
The 3D Enhancement button will
enable an analog 3D feature that will
broaden the audio field. This is not the
same feature as the positional audio
found in today’s computer games. The
codec on the sound card supports the
“3D Enhancement” feature and hence,
you are able to further modify the
effects by moving the available sliders
