The useful life of the
grinders
is reduced if the coffee mix has torrefacto coffee
(caramelised coffee)
When the
grinding teeth
are changed, to adjust the “grind point” of the coffee, proceed in the
following way:
•
Make sure there are no coffee beans in the grinder.
•
Request a dose of coffee so the
grinder
motor starts.
• Turn the “grind point” knob anticlockwise until you hear the top teeth touch the bottom
teeth. Now switch of the
grinder
.
• Turn the knob clockwise 8 “notches”. The moving grinding teeth will separate from the
fixed teeth.
• Now introduce the coffee beans into the hopper and request a ground coffee. If
necessary, adjust the “grind point” finer or coarser.
19. Brake
Its job is to maintain the grinding teeth separated at a constant distance when grinding the
coffee beans. The objective is to achieve a uniform “grind point” of the coffee.
