Safety precautions
Please read these safety precautions for optimal and safe use, installation, transport and
maintenance of this device.
WARNING
: The ERO 101 is equipped with high power LED modules. Prevent possible injury to your
eyes and do not look directly into the beam on short distance.
WARNING
: Do not use this device near epilepsy patients.
This device is designed for professional entertainment use. Permanent damage may occur during
improper use or installation, with possible electrical shocks, fire or falling as result, which may cause
serious injury.
Read this manual carefully before use, installation or maintenance of this product. Follow all
instructions and contact a skilled technician or your selling point when in doubt.
Preventing electrical shocks:
- Make sure that the power supply of the movinghead is disconnected before you remove any body
parts for maintenance purposes.
- Make sure that this device is connected to a grounded power supply before use.
- Only use an AC power supply which complies with your local requirements and is equipped with a
proper circuit breaker. (AC 230V, 50 Hz)
- Always check the power supply and cables to make sure these are in optimal condition. When any
form of defect is detected (visible cores, defective cable sleeves or strain reliefs), do not connect the
fixture.
- Make sure that the total amount of power required for your power chain (e.g. several ERO 101
fixtures with power daisy-chaining) does not exceed the capacity of your cables and installation.
- When using your own cables to connect the device to a suitable power source, only use cables
capable of handling min. 20A, equipped with three 1.5mm² cores (16AWG) and an exterior diameter of
5 to 15 mm.
- Only use official Neutrik Powercon NAC3FCA cable connectors for your power supply. Only use
official Neutrik Powercon NAC3FCB cable connectors for the daisy-chain power output.
- If you suspect or discover that the device does not operate properly, if any damage occurs or when
the device seems deformed, wet or overheated, immideately disconnect it from its power supply and
and do not reconnect it until it has been inspected by a local technician or your selling point.
- This device must be protected against exposure to rain, watersplashes or moisture.
- If the device shows symptoms which can not be resolved with the described steps in this manual,
please contact your selling point or a skilled technician.
- Always make sure that the power supply for one or several ERO 101 devices is accessible and
equipped with a power switch, to disconnect the power supply immediately when necessary.
