Monitoring system controller storage can help you identify potential file transfer error.
AXIS Body Worn manager displays
Storage used
and
Storage reserved
for each system
controller.
The storage in the system controller is used as a buffer when recordings are
transferred from a camera to the content destination. A continuous high level of storage used
may indicate transfer error.
When a camera is docked it reserves the memory needed to offload its
content to the system controller. When all files are transferred to the content destination, the
reservation is removed. Any remaining storage reserved may indicate transfer error.
To view Storage information go to
Devices
, and open the system controller that you’re
interested in.
AXIS Body Worn Manager shows for how long a camera has been in use. For example, this can
give you an indication that a camera is lost or needs a firmware upgrade.

1. Restart the system controller, see
. Logs and recordings remain intact on
the system controller storage during the restart.
2. Upgrade the system controller with the latest firmware, see
3. Reset the extension system controller to factory default (this doesn’t apply to the system
controller that the body worn system was initially created on), using one of the following
methods:
