The printing tool is called
Printer Administrator
. This operating
environment has an integrated printer driver list, but does not have
printer detection functionality.
Instructions:
Type the command
/usr/sadm/admin/bin/printmgr
in a Terminal
window.
SuSE
YaST2
is the recommended printing tool. It contains a printer driver list
as well as printer detection capability.
Instructions:
To start the Printer Configuration tool, select this from the Desktop:

Typical Invocation via a Windows Manager
Using the Mandrake 8.2 distribution (with CUPS installed) and the KDE
windows manger as an example, a typical set-up begins with starting
Mandrake Control Center.
