AMI BIOS Setup Utility

CPU Configuration

This screen shows the CPU Configuration, and you can change the value of the selected
option.

Hyper-threading

This item can set enable or disable for support Hyper-threading Technology.

Limit CPUID Maximum

You can enable this item to let legacy operating systems boot even without support for
CPUs with extended CPU ID functions. This item should be disabled for Windows XP.

Execute Disable Bit

XD can prevent certain classes of malicious buffer overflow attacks when combined with a
supporting OS (Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows XP SP2, SuSE Linux 9.2, RedHat
Enterprise 3 Update 3).

Intel Virtualization

Allows a hardware platform to run multiple operating systems separately and
simultaneously, enabling one system to virtually function as several systems.
