Appendix D

iAMT Settings

Utilizing built-in platform capabilities and popular third-party management and security
applications, the Intel

Active Management Technology (Intel

iAMT) has significantly lowered

a major barrier to IT management efficiency, helping IT professionals discover, repair and
better protect their networked computing assets.

In order to utilize Intel

iAMT you must enter the ME BIOS (<Ctrl + P> during system startup),

change the ME BIOS password, and then select “Intel

iAMT” as the manageability feature.

D.1

Entering MEBx

You must go to BIOS to enable iAMT function.

Exit from BIOS after starting iAMT, and press <Ctrl + P> to enter MEBx Setting.

Note

It is advised to press <Ctrl + P> before the screen pops out.

D.2

Set and Change Password

You will be asked to set a password when first logging in. The default

password is “admin”.
